Crafted from 100% cotton fibers and natural materials, the Meadows Layered Dress combines hand-painted Mulmul and undyed & unbleached Kala cotton.

The first layer features a sheer Mulmul shirt with abstract hand-painted brushstrokes, detailed with Kantha embroidery, double collars, and cuffs. The natural dyes- indigo, iron and marigolds collected from temples- bring a subtle yet striking palette.

The second layer is a flared dress, designed with inverted pleats and side pockets. Its deep V-neck reveals the Mulmul shirt beneath, creating a layered look.

The two separates in this ensemble, give the option to be paired with other pieces from one’s wardrobe, making it truly versatile.

Please note that this fabric is hand spun, hand woven using traditional weaving techniques, and hand painted with natural ingredients, so may vary in colour and texture.

Ethically made in India from seed to stitch and are 100% biodegradable. No plastics. No metals.

Please hand wash separately in cold water by turning the garment inside out.  

Kindly do not bleach.  

Dry in Shade.

Iron or steam with warm heat.

We offer repair and renewal services for all Lafaani garments, including mending of tears or worn areas, embroidery repair, and, where appropriate, thoughtful embroidery additions to strengthen or rework a piece.
